How to Efficiently Work from HOME?
I am sure that everyone agrees with me that Work From Home is more complex, irritating and longer (relatively). Unfortunately we are all forced to Work From Home during the lockdown due to COVID-19.
We are trying to bring out some points which helps in making life easier during Work From Home.
1. Have a Schedule : We all do a lot of unscheduled work through the day for different reasons. Please consider planning and scheduling every activity. Use planers, calendars, notepad tools, to remind you to be punctual to meetings and discussions. #zohocalendar #zohoprojects #zohomeetings
2. Communication : The most important element that increases complexity / anxiety is communication. Most of the intrinsic communication that used to happen face to face, now needs to become explicit.
Face to Face – Can assume few gestures, understanding, confidence level.
Work from Home – Need to verbally communicate / assume level of confidence.
3. Setting Expectations : Managers are having though times getting output from the teams. Hence the time for daily stand ups, summarizing the day, productivity tools have been used to measure. So, setting the expectation of work, percentage of completion who’s going to do what, when, how and review helps in setting right expectations to all stake holders so that heart burns, credibility etc. are spared. #zohoprojects #zohopeople
The most important thing is that confidence we exhibit and the outlook we carry while Work from Home.
